Celtic Elite Tournament Responsibilities

Hello Celtic Elite Family
 
First, I would like to congratulate all wrestlers this weekend. We had a great showing at the Gomez Fiesta Tournament. All of our wrestlers performed extremely well and showed great determination.

THIS WEEKEND (Dec. 17 & 18) CELTIC ELITE TOURNAMENT HOSTED AT JOLIET CENTRAL HIGH SCHOOL:
 
Celtic Elite has a proud tradition of hosting the toughest and best run tournament in the state. We have this reputation because of our parents, wrestlers, coaches, and supporters who contribute 100%. The Coaching Staff thank all of you in advance for showing up to your assigned duties and bringing in your beverages. Remember there are no paid coaches at Celtic Elite and all of our fundraising efforts go towards your kids tournament fees for the year. Your volunteer assignment and beverage contribution will go a long way in offsetting costs. So again, thank you!
 
Below you will find the beverage list. Please pay close attention to what you are supposed to bring. We will be collecting beverages Tuesday night at our Celtic Elite Facility during pictures at 6:00 pm and also Wednesday and Thursday night at our Celtic Elite Facility from 5:15 to 6:00. As a precaution, please write your last name on your beverages in our attempt to double track. We ask that you pull up to the back of our training facility at 1005 W Laraway Road. We will have our back door open to take the drinks from you. Please do not leave without making sure we checked your name off of the list so you are sure not to have to pay for the tournaments.
 
Level 1:
#1. Each family bring 1 case (minimum of 24 16.9 oz bottles) of water
#2.  Bring 24 cans of the following by FIRST NAME:
Sprite A-F
Pepsi G-Q
Diet Pepsi R-Z
 
JV:
#1.  Each family bring 1 case (minimum of 24 16.9 oz bottles) of water
#2.  Bring 24 cans of the following by FIRST NAME:
Sprite A-F
Pepsi G-Q
Diet Pepsi R-Z
 
Varsity:
#1.  Each family bring 1 case (minimum of 24 16.9 oz bottles) of water
#2.  Bring a 24 pack of Gatorade (16.9oz) according to your son’s FIRST NAME
Red A-J
Blue K-Z
 
Our volunteer assignment sheet will be sent out by Tuesday. You will either be assigned to work concessions, score table, or security. Please stick with your assignment and do not trade without prior authorization. If you trade and we do not mark you for attendance you could be charged an additional fee. The burden of proof is on you because we will be checking every shift at the positions you are assigned.
 
Schedule for this Weekend:
 
Saturday:  Set up – We need to set up 8 mats and score clocks. We will need all dads there to help. The more that are there the quicker everyone can leave. I will have a more definite time tomorrow night. I have a meeting with Central tomorrow. Weigh ins will be from 11:00am to 1:00pm (we will have practices for those of you making weight). If you are wrestling in the Celtic Elite we will need weigh in cards. I am working with our technical staff to determine if we will be using our USA cards or special ones from Track Wrestling. WE WILL NOT BE USING WEIGH IN SHEETS SO YOU NEED A CARD. Wrestling will begin at 4:30 and the last bout will be called at 8:45PM.
 
Sunday: Wrestling will start at 9:00 AM and WE NEED ALL DADS SUNDAY NIGHT TO CLEAN UP MATS. WE WILL PUT YOU ON THE PAY FOR TOURNAMENT LIST IF YOU ARE NOT THERE. IT IS NOT FAIR TO THE ONES THAT DO SHOW UP NOT TO CHARGE YOU.
